Ricky Martin y Mas International had its humble beginnings at my living room table in 1990 when I was living at home.  Because of my immobility, my lack of living in a metropolitan area, and no connections whatsoever, I struggled for many years to establish a solid presence in the fan club world.  In 1997, I took the club one step further.  I brought it online in hope of reaching a wider fan base and getting my foot in the fan club door, so to speak.  Mind you I still had no real connections, just an unquenchable love for the man and the superstar that was Ricky.
Over time, we grew to an astounding 1500+ members worldwide, our website was bilingual, and we had some unique content.  Still no Ricky though, but I continued undaunted, pulling 14 hour days for three years straight.
In 2000, I had to shut down due to health and personal reasons.  After dealing with life, and settling back into things, we rise from the ashes once again.  Maybe we're a shadow of our former selves, but I'm here in hopes that I can support Ricky, even if it's with one tiny message board in the depths of the net.
